ESB born in 1971 as a winter beer to replace a beer called Old Burton Extra. No slow to gain popularity and become one of the stable of Fuller's beers.
Fame followed incrementndose especially when in 1978 he was named Beer of the Year by CAMRA's (Campaign for Real Ale )
